LAND ROVER OWNERS CLUB FORMATION 

The formation of the inaugural Sarawak Land Rover Owners Club was met with much enthusiasm with a gathering of sixteen persons. A pro tem committee was nominated with the intention of registering the proposed club. 

The pro tem office bearers nominated are as follows. Charles Bateman as president, Malcolm Jitam as secretary, George Kana as treasurer. Four other committee members comprise of Eunice Lin, Tanny Lee, Thian Choon Ted and Fadzillah Ahmadi B. Alli.  

The group decided that the objectives of the club would be to promote safety on and off road, to share a passion and enjoyment of the much loved Land Rover, embark on club activities such as off road driving and camping and also to embark on community and charitable projects.
