Latest: July 2007, Own designed winch bumper installed
BEFORE. A STOCK STANDARD 1994 RANGIE
This
top of the line UK Vogue LSE is made for Tan Sri (not Datuks). Since it's
made for such people, it is build slightly lower than other RR models with
good road handling characteristics and is fast, capable of cruising at
130-140 kmh.
It has full leather trim, double A/C blowers, electric adjustment front seats, sun roof, power windows, stereo, etc. It has a longer cabin. It's powered by a V8 4.2L original engine, full time 4 wheel drive and Viscous coupling drive train.
For detailed modifications carried out please click this link.

In order for the vehicle to be fit for fairly
extreme off road it needs three main things:
A) snorkel
B) Mud terrain tyres
C) Winch (to come)
In addition it really needs
D) suspension lift. We managed to get 5".
Other necessary items include E) electronics - GPS and VHF radio F) body decoration and graphics.
Upon
completion of the mods, we saw that the rangie became a proud stately
vehicle and christened it General. We took General for a test run on 1
October, 2006 to Seven Bridges - one of our deadliest 4X4 trail. General
passed with flying colours, going through extreme undulation. It was mainly due
to the Viscous system kicking in that made short work of extreme axel
articulation.
