The advice was not to over rev the engine as doing so will make the car drift down stream. The rain made things very difficult.

Hai, ho, hai ho, it's off to work for the whole Borneo Safari. Chief engineer and club chairman James oversees bridging and earth works.
There was so much bridging and earth works that they worked well into the night. In the end, the going was too tough and they had to turn out from Ovai and back tracked and drove high way to Tenom.
The wagon carried lots and loads of goodies. Here Sun Tung Lee, chief scout takes it for a spin.
Foul up of the year.. this Suzuki belonging to Milling Satu (Penampang) had already rolled one and half time and ended up the right side up. Too much spin saw that it separated the bridge it was going through. It was good that he was strapped in as the roof gave way.
Here the recovery crew winches the Suzuki out from the ravine.
Even event champion Chung Hong Ru had to transport the trailer for a while.
