Tours Around Kuching City

Walking Heritage Tour of Kuching
Old Kuching is best rediscovered on foot and we can trace the footsteps of the early White Rajah as they go about the city. Visit descendants of early traders who still practice the skills and trade handed down from five generations ago. Learn of significant landmarks in Sarawak's history. This tour would take 3 hrs but we often run overtime.

Visit Fort Magerita

What's included?
Depending on how hot it is we may stop for a drink or two. We may also shelter in a local coffee shop and chat like the locals do if it should rain.

The Rajahs Legacy Walk
In
the Rajah's tenure of administering the country of Sarawak, they frequently went about to significant buildings and sites where they would meet with his subjects.
The Rajah had his rounds where he visited the Bishop of the Anglican Church, key merchants in town and also community leaders and it is in these footsteps that we would be walking.

Architectural Tour of Kuching
Kuching has a number of significant buildings that were build during the time of the Rajah. A number of them were built before basic advancement in construction techniques. There were also unique methods adopted due to the (then) plentiful supply of iron wood. Key design features are also prominent for building made during a by gone era in this region. The key buildings that we would be visiting are:
  • The Sarawak Museum (to see old photos of old Kuching buildings)
  • Bishop's House
  • Gambier Street
  • Court House
  • Post Office
  • Fort Magerita

These shops were identically constructed to the ones in South India.
